A fantastic time was had by all who attended the First Annual Nova Scotia Lung Transplant Classic. There were 76 golfers and 20 more people attending the dinner and awards. $11,000 was raised for the Lung Association of Nova Scotia’s Lung Transplant Fund which provides financial assistance to Nova Scotians who are required to relocate to await and rehabilitate from lung transplant surgery. Several of these patients were represented by family members at the golf event. The team of Blake Miller, Darryl Maunder, Scott Hanson and Mark Vincent captured the championship plaque by finishing at 9 under par. Recent double lung transplant recipient Greg Efthimiopoulos took one of the longest drive prizes. However, the real winners were the current and future lung transplant patients from Nova Scotia. Thanks to everyone who supported this event through donations, sponsorship or partcipation. We urge you to continue to support this very worthy cause.
