We made the draw at about 1:00pm today, July 9th at the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.The winner of the pair of VIP tickets to Paul McCartney on Saturday is Gwen Boudreau of Halifax, the holder of lucky ticket 2339.
More than 2500 tickets were sold raising nearly $7,300 and netting nearly $6,700. This amount will be put in trust by the Lung Association of Nova Scotia (LANS) for current and future Nova Scotian lung transplant patients to assist in the expenses associated with living out of province to receive this life-saving surgery.
One of the folks to whom LANS provides assistance received his gift of life yesterday after more than 200 days in Toronto and 2 “false alarms”. Our thoughts go out to him and his family and we wish him a smooth recovery and rehabilitation.
Thanks so much to you all for helping to take nslungtransplant.ca’s fundraising to date to nearly $30,000.
Please continue to support nslungtransplant.ca’s future fundraisers including the 2nd Annual Lung Transplant Classic golf tournament this fall.
